The idea of launching Beproud came about during the year 2015. After several discussions with friends and relatives, we came to the conclusion that postgraduate students with a multicultural background face difficulties finding a job even with a valuable degree. Among other reasons, that struggle is tied to the fact these students are unable to brand themselves in accordance with the level of their diploma. Moreover, soon to be graduates lack of referents, which impact their entry into the job market since they lack information regarding companies’ recruitment processes and relevant vacancies. Furthermore, it came to our attention that despite the number of professionals on the market, there is a lack of synergy between them and soon-to-be graduates. Therefore, efforts should be done in order to build a platform where students and professionals with multicultural backgrounds could communicate. Thus, professionals and soon-to-be graduates could build a climate of trust which will result in a sharing of experience, recommendations and tips & tricks regarding the job market.
Beproud is a project designed by students with a multicultural background for young graduates or soon-to-be graduates with a multicultural background. The purpose of this organization is to facilitate their access to the labor market. The vision of the organization is to allow every young person with a multicultural background to fully exploit all work opportunities that are available for their level of education. Furthermore, Beproud aims to work towards a collaborative environment and simultaneously, to highlight the qualities of young people with a multicultural background.
